The following is a list of all the commands you can use on Mango. Just type the command in an SMS and send it to any Mango number!
The Basics
REGISTER – Start Mango-ing
To start using Mango, you need to register with a unique username.
Format: register username
Example: register sana87
Username must be unique, between 4 and 12 characters and may only contain alphabets and numbers.
ADD – Add a friend
Once registered, you can start adding your friends. You can add a friend by username or phone number.
Format: add number/username
Example: add 03219454321
Example (add multiple friends): add sana87 maryamj coolio
If the friend is not on Mango, they will be invited to join Mango first. Your friend will need to accept your request before you can start receiving each other's updates
SHOUT - Send a message to all your friends
The easiest thing to do on Mango :)
Format: shout your-message
Example: shout I'm bored... anyone up for a movie tonight?
M - Send a message to a single person
You can send a direct message to anyone on Mango! They may or may not be on your friends list.
Format: m username message
Example: m saadia hey i heard you aced your exams... congrats!
ACCEPT – Accept a friend request
When someone adds you as a friend on Mango, you need to accept their friend request (if you're friends with them, of course)
Format: accept username
Example: accept sana87
LIST FRIENDS - Get a list of your Mango friends
This lets you get a list of your Mango friends at any time
Format: list friends
REMOVE – Remove a friend from your network
Format: remove number/username
Example: Remove sana87
Example: Remove 03324345979
Mango Groups
CREATE - Start a Mango group
Format: create groupname
Example: create mysoccer
Group name must be between 4 and 20 characters and can only contain numbers and alphabets. By default all groups are created private. For a private group, anyone trying to join the group would need your permission.
JOIN - Join a Mango group
Format: join groupname
Example: join movies
INVITE - Invite friends to join a group
Format: invite groupname number/username
Example: invite movies sana87
Example (invite multiple people): invite junoon maryamj qasim coolio
M - Send a message to group
Format: m junoon message
Example: m junoon guys junoon is performing live in kashmir!! Wish I could attend it..
Any message sent to a group will be delivered to all members of that group.
LIST - View the members of a group
You can use this to get a list of the members of a group
Format: list groupname
Example: list movies
LIST GROUPS - Get a list of your Mango groups
Use this to get a list of the groups that you are a member of.
Format: list groups
LEAVE - Leave a Mango group
Format: leave groupname
Example: leave junoon
ALLOW- Allow someone to join a private Mango group
If you are the owner of a private group, you will need to allow a person to join the group.
Format: allow groupname number/username
Example: allow soccer sana87
KICK- Kick someone from a private Mango group
If you are the owner of a private group, you can kick a person from the group.
Format: kick groupname username
Example: kick soccer sana87
MAKE- Make a group public/private
If you are the owner of a private group, you can make it public or private.
Format: make groupname public/private
Example: make soccer private

Noise Control
MUTE – Stop receiving messages from someone
If someone is making too much noise, you can mute them. You will not receive any messages from them until you unmute them.
Format: mute username
Example: mute coolio
You can also mute groups using this command
DND – Do Not Disturb (Temporarily stop receiving messages from Mango)
Format: DND
Send DND OFF to start receiving messages again
